Almost everyone is doing their part to try and get British Columbia and beyond through this battle against COVID-19.
A group of professionals that have gone above and beyond, of course, are the healthcare professionals that are on the front lines of this pandemic every single day.
Their commitment to the general public’s health and safety is wonderful on its own, but Health Minister Adrian Dix revealed a statistic today that made it even more special.

There are 26 doctors and 248 nurses, along with a number of care aid workers, that have come out of retirement to join the fight against this devastating virus.
“We now have more registrants in BC that have come back and registered as doctors and nurses,” Dix said in a press conference today.
“As well, we have many care aids who have joined and rejoined in support of health care facilities in BC.”
Dix said that their efforts are incredibly appreciated and it demonstrates the extraordinary commitment of all healthcare workers to care for the people of BC.
Today, another 66 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in BC, which brings the province’s total number of cases to 725.
