The Vancouver Canucks are set to go retro once again this Saturday.
In fact, the club will don two throwback sweaters during this weekend for an afternoon game versus the Buffalo Sabers.
First up will be the contentious Flying V sweaters from the 70s, which some have branded as possibly the ugliest team outfit in sport's history while others argue the deep v-neck design was simply ahead of its time.
Possibly due to people's divided opinions on the sweaters, the Canucks will only wear them during warm-up.
For the actual game, the team will switch to the universally beloved black flying skate look for the second time this season.
According to the Canucks, the flying skate was only scheduled to return once this season, but due to an overwhelmingly positive response the team has decided to wear them a second time.
The Canucks will be celebrating the 1980s against their expansion cousins, the Buffalo Sabres, who are also celebrating their 50th anniversary season.
