It was a disappointing day for Canadian tennis fans as two of the country's top stars were eliminated from the Australian Open.
Milos Raonic was taken out of the tournament by Novak Djokovic, the top-ranked player in the tournament. He fell in four sets by scores of 7-6, 4-6, 6-1, and 6-4.
This was the 12th time to the two have competed against each other. Djokovic has never lost to Raonic.
With the loss, Raonic has now failed to qualify for the quarter-finals in Australia for the third year in a row.
On the other side of the bracket, Felix Auger-Aliassime fell in five sets to Russian qualifier Aslan Karatsev.
Not to be this year, but lots of Australian Open opportunities ahead of the 20 year old.
