The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) is continuing to fight a blaze that started yesterday.
It is about 8 kilometres northeast of Clinton, west of Hwy 97.
On Wednesday, it was estimated at 0.5 hectares but is now thought to be 0.93 ha.
The cause is listed as lightning.
Writing last night, the BCWS explained: “Currently, 24 firefighters and a water tender are responding to this fire.
“Air tankers have completed their mission for the evening, however, a helicopter remains on site and may be visible from Highway 97.”
The firefighters added that no buildings are under threat “at this time.”
