Charlie’s favourite pastime is exploring the Island with his two humans.
Not only is this forest cat living the dream, he also shares his adventures on Instagram @Island.Charlie.
Pascale and Jamieson live an outdoorsy lifestyle full of camping trips, surfing and hiking, which seems to suit Charlie just fine.
“It looks like our little guy is meant to make people happy so we are just happy to share the joy,” the couple said.
According to Pascale and Jamieson, Charlie took to their active lifestyle right away, and within his first days at home he was already getting used to wearing a harness.
“He seemed to have the perfect character for the adventure life,” they said.
The couple got Charlie in the spring of 2020, making him a “pandemic pet.” He is now 9-months-old, and already he has been on many adventures to creeks, waterfalls and the rainforests that can be found on the Island.
This isn’t the first time Pascale and Jamieson have owned and trained an “adventure cat.”
“We had recently lost our 15 year old cat from a sudden and very aggressive cancer,” they explained. “She was an adventure cat way before instagram, but that’s another story!”
After some encouragement and guidance, Charlie is “very much like a well-behaved dog.”
“Charlie had a laid back and confident way about him from the start, he was curious and friendly and very smart, ”they added.
“He’s a climber and loves to climb trees but we have to keep him from going up too high of course!”
When Charlie isn’t enjoying walks in the forest camping trips and climbing trees, he spends his time in his very own catio, where he can watch the deer and the bunnies.
