(UPDATE: UPDATE: 8:45 a.m.) - The Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) has reopened near Revelstoke.
An overnight vehicle incident had previously closed the highway about 25 kilometres west of the mountain town.
DriveBC warns drivers to expect "heavy delays" and "congestion" following the lengthy closure.
(Original story: 6:20 a.m.) - The Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) remains closed after an overnight vehicle incident.
It shut down about 25 kilometres west of Revelstoke at around 3 a.m.

There’s no current detour available, but DriveBC updates that the road will reopen around 9 a.m.
