VIDEO: BC SPCA shares heartwarming update on badly neglected puppies

BC SPCA has provided a heartwarming update on the seizure of 43 puppies from a substandard breeder last month.

Upon being rescued, the majority of the dogs were infected with a highly contagious viral illness known as “canine parvovirus” and were battling for their lives after being badly neglected.

Sadly, eight of the puppies didn’t make it, however, with intensive treatment, love and care, many of the dogs are finally coming into better health.

BC SPCA has now shared a video documenting the first play date in weeks for a pair of the pups receiving treatment and it's maybe the cutest thing you'll see all week.

All of the puppies, along with 21 adult dogs, 27 horses and three cats, were seized from a the breeder at a Princeton property on Sept. 23.

Treatment for the rescued animals is costing thousands of dollars per day and it’s expected to exceed $100,000 by the time all is said and done.

If you want to help the BC SPCA with these extraordinary costs, visit the non-profit organization’s website to make a donation.
