Another British Columbia music festival won’t be happening in 2021.

The inaugural edition of the festival brought acts like Bahamas, Jessie Reyez, Serena Ryder, Half Moon Run, Wintersleep and more to Squamish in July 2019.
Unfortunately, since then, the festival has been sidelined due to the pandemic and unable to build on that successful first year.
“It’s hard for all of us to believe that after such an incredible kickoff with our inaugural event that we’ll have missed two years of festival goodness,” said a statement from organizers.
“We want to thank you for hanging in there with us. It hasn’t been easy – not by a long shot – but your love and support has made us that much more committed to being there for you once we are able.”
Organizers added that they’re committed to working with health authorities and government to produce a “safe and soul-fulfilling” festival in 2022.
Anyone who has hung onto their tickets from 2020 will have the same opportunity as they had last summer, which is to keep those tickets for when the festival returns.
However, anyone who wants to get a refund can do so online, with more information available on the Squamish Constellation Festival website.
This latest cancellation follows in the footsteps of Shambhala Music Festival and Bass Coast Music and Arts Festival, both of which recently announced they won't be happening in 2021.
