British Columbia is reporting 605 new cases of COVID-19, this brings the total number of active cases in the province to 5,172.
From the new/active cases this is where they are being reported in each region:
Fraser Health: 245 new cases (2,214 active)
Interior Health: 119 new cases (850 active)
Island Health: 92 new cases (640 active)
Vancouver Coastal Health: 82 new cases (721 active)
Northern Health: 67 new cases (689 active)
No new cases of people who reside outside of Canada (58 active)
There are currently 374 people in hospital with 153 of those individuals in intensive care.
90 percent of those in critical care today due to COVID-19 were not fully vaccinated.

In the past 24 hours, four new deaths have been reported bringing the provincial pandemic death toll to 2,033.
Of the new deaths, three were reported in Northern Health and one in Island Health.
There has been one new health care facility COVID-19 outbreak in Island Health, which brings the total number of active outbreaks to 19.

Over the past two weeks (Sept. 28-Oct, 11) this is how cases hospitalized broke down from unvaccinated to vaccinated:

Since December, the province has administered 7,991,932 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Of the eligible people 12 and older in BC, 88.9% (4,120,063) have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 82.7% (3,835,508) have received their second dose.
From the eligible adults in BC, 89.4% (3,864,764) have received their first dose and 83.4% (3,609,210) received their second dose.
