The Ridge Meadows RCMP is urging drivers to use their “road sense” after pulling over a lead-footed driver earlier this past weekend.
The Hyundai Genesis was pulled over while excessively speeding on Lougheed Drive near 287 Street.
According to the RCMP, the driver was clocked going 207 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
That’s a whopping 127 km/h over the speed limit.
Woah! What do you get when you're 127 km/h over the speed limit? You get a time-out from your car & license for 7 days & a hefty fine. Along with a $483 fine, the driver also saw their vehicle impounded and their licence suspended, both for seven days.
They were also slapped with three points towards their Driver Risk Premium, which means they’ll be paying more annually for their car insurance next time they renew it.
