The Prince George RCMP is hoping that the public can aid an investigation into a single-vehicle crash that happened last week.
A patrolling officer stumbled upon the scene of the crash around 9 pm on Friday, Feb. 19 while driving northbound on Foothills Boulevard.
He came across several vehicles with their hazard lights on before spotting a grey Ford F-150 that was sitting up on the raised centre median facing southbound.
“The (officer) noted the extensive front-end damage to the truck and a sheared off power pole as well,” explained an RCMP release.
“Due to the danger posed by the downed hydro pole, witnesses were quickly cleared from the scene by emergency services personnel.”
The RCMP is currently investigating the role that alcohol or drug impairment might have played in this crash and are hoping that witnesses or other drivers will come forward.
Anyone who could help the investigation is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
No information was provided on the driver, including their identity or condition post-crash.
