Yet more reports of lug nuts being loosened on West Kelowna vehicles

Police are appealing for information after yet more reports of vehicles' lug nuts being loosened in West Kelowna.

Incidents in the past week have been recorded at Parkinson Road, Horizon Drive, Pettman Road and Upper Sundance Drive.

The appeal is one of numerous issued over recent weeks following incidents in West Kelowna and Peachland.

Late last month, a West Kelowna woman from the Shannon Lake area lost her front-left wheel while driving.

Fortunately, she was driving slow enough to escape uninjured.

But Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said at the time the “reckless” act put lives at risk.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880 or report tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
