Possible child abduction attempt reported at North Okanagan elementary school

Parents and students in the North Okanagan are being warned after a potential child abduction attempt on Friday.

According to a letter sent out by Armstrong Elementary School principal Corrinne Langston, the incident occurred on Patterson Street shortly after 7:45 am. Two unknown men reportedly offered a child a ride.

After quickly running away, the child reported the incident to RCMP.

The child was able to provide a description of the vehicle's passenger. He was said to be around 20-years-old with dark hair, a high voice, and a leather outfit.

Last seen driving towards the highway on Rosedale Avenue, the vehicle was a white van.
