Meet your West Kelowna Warriors leadership group.
The team announced the Jake Harrison would serve as the team’s captain for the 2019-20 season.
Harrison is the only member of the Warriors’ 2016 RBC Cup-winning team that remains on the roster, although he left the team to play for the USHL’s Fargo Force last season.
“It’s an amazing feeling,” stated Harrison, who will attend the University of Michigan after this year.
“I’ve learned a lot from the captains I’ve played with and I’m ready to take what I’ve learned to help lead our team this season.”
Rounding out the leadership group will be Parm Dhaliwal and Lucas Cullen, who will both serve as alternate captains under Harrison.
Dhaliwal, 20, is entering his fourth season with the Warriors, while fellow 20-year-old Cullen is about to start his third.
“Parm and Lucas are great teammates who lead by their actions,” said head coach Brandon West.
“Both have been here for a few years now and have always been guys who put the team first.”
West Kelowna kicks off its pre-season next week and the regular season begins with a home game against the Vernon Vipers on Sept. 6.
