The Victoria Royals were in action on Friday, this time taking on the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Both teams battled hard, though it was the Royals who came out on top, winning in overtime by a score of 5-4.
Seattle started off the scoring with the only goal of the first period. They jumped on the board again early in the second frame.
Carter Briltz scored for Victoria to cut the lead in the half. Bailey Peach then tied the game on the power play.
After Seattle scored a shorthanded goal, Keanu Duranges retied the game. Both teams traded goals in the third to send the game to overtime.
In the extra frame, Gannon Laroque notched the game-winner.
Up next, Victoria is in Portland for a game against the Winterhawks on Saturday. Puck drop is at 7 pm.
