RCMP in Kelowna are hoping witnesses can help them track down the car involved in a hit and run in Rutland.
According to police, a 37-year-old Kelowna woman was walking through a marked crosswalk at Hollywood Road and Hwy 33 around 4 pm on Wednesday when she was struck by a vehicle.
The man driving the vehicle stopped, helped her up and then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
“Investigation has determined that the suspect vehicle may have been white in colour and the driver was a man in his 40s,” says Cst. Solana Paré.
“If any motorists have any dash camera footage of the event, they are urged to contact the Kelowna RCMP.”
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
