Mounties are investigating after a large amount of diesel was spilled in Kelowna this afternoon.
Firefighters found the spill at a commercial complex at 750 McCurdy Road after being called at 1.15 p.m.
Crews used absorbent material to soak up about 200 litres of diesel.
They then requested the presence of the RCMP after noticing that the fuel tanks of a delivery truck appeared to be damaged.
The Ministry of Environment was also informed.
Kelowna Fire Department’s platoon captain, John Kelly, added: “City of Kelowna utility crews were called to the scene to access the catch basin and surrounding system.”
