Impaired driver who crashed into a pole in Kelowna given 24-hour driving prohibition

A man has been given a 24-hour driving prohibition after an SUV crashed into a pole at a Kelowna bus stop.

It happened at the intersection of Sutherland Avenue and Pandosy Street on Wednesday.

Mounties said they found a grey Dodge Journey at the scene when they arrived.

There was minor damage to both the vehicle and the pole.

Police added: “Officers investigated and formed the grounds to believe that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs.

“The 35-year-old Enderby man was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition and the vehicle was towed from the scene.”
