Congratulations to Kellie, Michelle, Leanne, Amanda and Tyler! As well, thank you to everyone who entered to win and continues to support this great cause.
Bake the World a Better Place holiday pie fundraiser was created by the Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB) this year, which allowed Okanagan residents to order specialty pies for the holidays while raising funds for the Food Bank.
In collaboration with over 30 of the Okanagan’s finest chefs and bakers, this charity event was an unprecedented success and to thank you for your support, the Central Okanagan Food Bank has complied the recipes of these sold-out sweet and savoury pies into a limited edition cookbook. The books are hot off the press and on sale starting this week, just in time for the holidays.
The cookbooks — which include recipes by Chef Bernard Casavant of O’Rourke Peak Cellars, Chef Shelley Robinson of UBC Okanagan, Chef Rod Butters of The Okanagan Table, Chef Brock Bowes of Provisions at Kettle River Brewing, and many more — retail at $30 and all proceeds go to the Central Okanagan Food Bank.
More importantly, the Bake the World a Better Place cookbooks are going to be in high demand. They are a limited edition print, so if you'd like to get your mitts on these recipes and support a local charity, you'll have to move quickly before they’re gone!
The 2020 edition will be available at Lakehouse Home Store for in-store purchase, or from Start Fresh Kitchen & Grocery to purchase online or in-store starting later this week. But before the cookbooks hit the shelves, KelownaNow is going to give you a chance to win one of five of these Okanagan-themed cookbooks, that you will receive right before Christmas.
To enter, read the contest rules and fill in the form below. KelownaNow will randomly select five winners from the qualified entries on Tuesday, Dec 22nd and winners will be contacted to claim their prize.
