The Kamloops RCMP is trying to identify a suspicious vehicle after an incident in Barnhartvale on Wednesday.
Around 4 pm, the RCMP learned that two kids were followed by a white caravan-style van in the Meadowland Crescent area.
“The van was driven by a man in his 30s with a mohawk and sunglasses,” explained an RCMP release.
“The man in the van allegedly circled the block five times and, at one point, stopped and stared at the kids. He drove away when one of them took out their phone.”
Residents of the Meadowland Crescent area are urged to check their home surveillance or dash cam footage for any images of a white van in the area around the time school was let out.
“If you know who was driving the van, or if you were the driver of the van, it’s very important to contact police so we can further this investigation and find out what is going on,” said Cst. Crystal Evelyn.

While this investigation remains under investigation, the RCMP says it’s another reminder about the importance of talking to kids about good safety habits and tips.
