BC, Alberta truckers show support for fellow driver following fatal crash near Kamloops

A group of BC and Alberta truckers are showing support for one of their own after he was killed in a fiery crash near Kamloops last month.

Doug Sharpe, a Nampa, Alta, man, passed away on July 27 when his vehicle collided with a car that crossed the centre line of Fraser Canyon Road in Ashcroft. The incident also sparked a small wildfire that was put out by Ashcroft Fire Rescue and the BC Wildfire Service.

Since then, a Facebook post from Jamie Johnson has been shared to multiple trucking Facebook pages. Johnston asked fellow truckers to "light em' up" to show support for the late driver.

The post received well over a thousand shares and hundreds of likes. Truckers from all over posted photos flashing their headlights in honour of Sharpe.
