Iconic actor and screenwriter Peter Fonda has died at the age of 79.
The star of Easy Rider passed away in his Los Angeles home following a battle with lung cancer.

The son of Henry Fonda and brother of Jane Fonda, the actor was known for his non-conformist tendencies despite being dubbed as “Hollywood Royalty” by the press.
In 1997, Fonda received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his role in the film Ulee’s Gold.
"In one of the saddest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts," the family said in a statement.
"As we grieve, we ask that you respect our privacy."
