The infamous coffee cup appearance during the fourth episode of the final season of Game of Thrones is officially a relic of the past.
On Monday, the internet was ablaze with reactions after sharp-eyed fans noticed a modern-day coffee cup sitting near Daenerys Targaryen during a feast scene in Winterfell.
Damage control immediately ensued and show's creators have now edited out the cup so anyone who watches the episode in the future won't see the gaffe.
However, GOT did own up to the faux pas, with HBO releasing a statement saying that the latte on the table was indeed an error.
The television provider even poked some fun, joking that Daenerys had actually ordered an herbal tea.

Executive producer Bernie Caulfield also apologized during an interview and made some light-hearted comments about the whole situation.
"Westeros was the first place to actually — you know— have Starbucks," Caulfield joked.
Even Starbucks got in on the fun, capitalizing on the tidal wave of free advertising surging in from Twitter.
TBH we're surprised she didn't order a Dragon Drink.

However, according to the Wall Street Journal, the cup actually originated from on-set craft services and not Starbucks.
