An Okanagan cannabis company believes the classic rolled joint will eventually be a thing of the past.
THC BioMed, based in Kelowna, has announced plans to sell cannabis cigarettes with a filtered tip similar standard tobacco cigarettes.
Despite looking almost identical to a standard cigarette’s white paper and yellow filter, the product will be filled with 100% cannabis.
According to THC BioMed, the product delivers the same potency as a traditional pre-roll and come in packages of three or 20.
“We are very pleased to offer Canadians a better way of smoking cannabis, as we monitored an increase in demand for our best-selling pre-rolls, we acknowledged that it was our duty to ensure we distribute the best products possible,” said John Miller, president of THC BioMed.
“We are pleased to be the first cannabis producer to put filters between the cannabis we are selling, and our consumers. Filters were invented to protect the consumer and not degrade the experience.”
THC BioMed also recently announced a cannabis beverage in development called THC Kiss.
