Interior Health reports 92 new COVID-19 cases and 2 more deaths over the weekend

Another 92 cases of COVID-19 were identified in the BC Interior over the three-day weekend reporting period.

It brings the region up to 7,435 total cases since the pandemic began, with 437 currently active.

Once again, that’s a significant decrease in active cases, which dropped to that number from 550 over the course of the weekend.

Hospital numbers dropped as well, with only 18 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 in the BC Interior and five of them in intensive care.

There were two new deaths to report over the weekend, bringing the region’s death toll to 104, but Interior Health did not give any details and Susan Brown did not provide a statement today.
