British Columbia is reporting 580 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 5,348.
Of the new/active cases this is where they come from in each region:
Fraser Health: 246 new cases (2,449 active)
Northern Health: 129 new cases (677 active)
Interior Health: 104 new cases (831 active)
Vancouver Coastal Health: 53 new cases (708 active)
Island Health: 48 new cases (625 active)
No new cases of people who reside outside of Canada (58 active)
There are currently 378 people in hospital with 153 of those individuals in intensive care.
89 percent of those in critical care today due to COVID-19 were not fully vaccinated.

In the past 24 hours, nine new deaths have been reported bringing the provincial pandemic death toll to 2,042.
From the new deaths; five were reported in Interior Health, two in Island Health, one in Vancouver Coastal Health, and one in Northern Health.
A total of 19, COVID-19 health care facility outbreaks remain active in the province.

Since December, the province has administered 8,008,858 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Of the eligible people 12 and older in BC, 89.0% (4,123,354) have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 82.9% (3,842,247) have received their second dose.
