Police appeal for witnesses after man seriously hurt in Hwy 97B crash

Two men were taken to hospital after a serious crash south of Salmon Arm on Tuesday.

One of the drivers, who is from Vernon and in his 30s, had to be cut loose from the wreckage of his car before being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The other driver – a man in his 70s from Armstrong – was also taken to hospital after the collision. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened on the 7000 block of Hwy 97B at about 9:15 pm on Tuesday.

The driver from Vernon was heading north while the driver from Armstrong was going south.

Mounties are now asking that anyone who saw the crash get in touch by calling 250 832 6044.
