A bear gave conservation officers something to laugh about when it made a hilarious escape from a home in the US.
The bold critter had entered a property in Estes Park – a settlement just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park – after apparently being attracted by garbage.
When the officers arrived, however, the skittish little bruin “forcibly breached a hole in the wall like the Kool-Aid Man,” according to local police.
The state’s Parks and Wildlife team also released a statement advising those living in bear country to lock all windows and doors on homes and vehicles.
“Some of these vehicles were clean of any attractants (not even a crumb), and multiple cars in the same area,” they explained.
“This shows that some individual bears are so habituated to receiving food from vehicles that some are going car to car seeing if they are unlocked, even if they don’t see or smell food.”
The team added: “Bears are extremely smart, which means we all have to be too.”
