A petition created by a teenager from Vancouver to honour Los Angeles Laker's legend Kobe Bryant is gaining some serious traction online.
On Sunday, the 41-year-old, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, died in a tragic helicopter crash in LA County.
As members of the sports world and beyond mourned the tragedy, 16-year-old Nikyar Moghtader started a petition to change the NBA's logo to a silhouette of Bryant.
As of Monday evening, the petition has soared past a million signatures.
"With the untimely and unexpected passing of the great Kobe Bryant please sign this petition in an attempt to immortalize him forever as the new NBA Logo," states the petition.
Many fans also took to Twitter to create mock-ups of what a logo honoring Bryant could look like:

The current NBA logo was created by Alan Siegel in 1969 by incorporating Los Angeles Lakers star Jerry West's silhouette from a photo taken by Wen Roberts.
