A woman who helped create the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has said two doses continue to offer strong protection against the virus. Professor Sarah Gilbert said the first dose provides the most protection and that deciding whether to administer a third dose can be "complex."

Police in Austria have accused a man of keeping his mother's dead body in a basement for over a year while receiving her pension payments. The man is said to have used ice packs and bandages to mask the smell.
