A popular brand of sanding disc has been recalled after breaking off while being used at high speed and injuring people.
The Mastercraft Maximum Zirconium Flap Discs, distributed by the Innoda Group and sold at Canadian Tire, were on the market between June and October 2019.
About 18,029 were sold in Canada.
Health Canada said there have so far been two reports of the discs separating and causing lacerations to people nearby.
The agency warns consumers to immediately stop using the product and to return it to any Canadian Tire store for a refund.

Mastercraft Maximum Zirconium Flap Disc – 120 grit
They were all made in China.
