A popular heater has been recalled by Health Canada after it caught fire and damaged property.
While no injuries have yet been reported, the 4800W Mastercraft Construction Heater has been deemed unsafe and should be returned immediately, officials said.
There were about 10,000 of the products sold in Canada between 1997 and 2014.
As of Nov. 8, Canadian Tire has received nine reports of the Mastercraft device overheating.
There have also been two incidents in which property was damaged after the heater caught fire.
The recalled products, which are blue, have an item number of 052-2604.
They were made in China and distributed by Canadian Tire.
Anyone who has one of the heaters should stop using it immediately and return it to the store from which it was bought, Health Canada explained.
