Health Canada has issued a warning about various kids’ warm-up jackets after a hazard was identified.
The jackets, distributed by Kobe Sportswear Inc. and made in China, feature drawstrings that can become caught in vehicles and cause children to be dragged.
About 56,284 of the jackets were sold in Canada between Jan. 2011 and Nov. 2019.
The affected products are named:
Linebacker
Storm
Spirit
Legacy
Icon
Retro
Contender
Challenger
Medalist
As of Dec. 2, Health Canada said there have been no reports of injuries involving the jackets.
Anyone who has one of the jackets is urged to remove the drawstrings immediately.
