If you want to send a package to someone and have them be able to open it on Christmas, you need to get it in the mail by the end of Wednesday.
According to Canada Post, that is the latest you should put a regular package in the mail if you want to ensure if arrives at its destination by Christmas Day.
If you’re willing to pony up a bit of cash, however, you still have a bit of time.
You can send Xpresspost packages up until Dec. 20 and Priority packages up until Dec. 23 and they should arrive in time for Christmas Day, barring any extenuating circumstances.
If you’re just sending regular mail, like a holiday card, the deadline for international mail has passed.
Within Canada, you must get them in the mail by Dec. 18 if you’re sending it out of province, Dec. 19 if you’re sending it anywhere else in your province and Dec. 20 if you’re sending it within the city.
