Up to 20 cm of heavy snowfall expected for the Southern Interior

Be prepared to battle the elements during your commute on Thursday.

Environment Canada has issued a heavy snowfall warning for much of B.C.'s southern interior including the Okanagan Valley and the South Thompson.

Total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected for the area due to a "perfect storm" type situation where an arctic front sliding southward across the B.C. Interior will meet an approaching pacific storm also moving across the B.C. southern interior on Thursday.

Travellers are advised to exercise caution, be prepared for potential delays, and consider alternate routes.
