Long weekends are always a popular time for British Columbians to travel between the mainland and island.
Because of that, BC Ferries has added 89 extra sailings for the Easter long weekend, most of which are for the Vancouver (Tsawwassen) - Victoria (Swartz Bay) route.
An extra 70 sailings will travel between those two destinations, while 11 have been added between Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) and Nanaimo (Departure Bay).
The final eight extra sailings have been added between Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) and the Sunshine Coast (Langdale).
The Spirit of Vancouver Island will also be returning to the water just in time for the long weekend, providing some much needed relief for BC Ferries.
Thursday evening, Friday morning and Monday afternoon are expected to be the most popular travel times of the weekend, which means booking a spot in advance is never a bad plan.
You can visit the BC Ferries website to check out the entire long weekend schedule.
