(Update - 6:15 p.m.): Highway 1 has officially reopened between Revelstoke and Golden after an earlier vehicle incident.
Though it has opened, Drive BC warns residents to expect heavy delays and congestion.
(Original - 4:45 p.m.): A snowfall warning was issued for the Trans-Canada Highway and it didn't take long for the road's first closure.
The highway is closed between Revelstoke and Golden due to a vehicle incident.

It took place between Victoria Road West and Golden View Road around 4 p.m.
There's no detour available and an assessment is currently in progress.
At the moment, DriveBC estimates the road will reopen around 7:30 p.m.
