UPDATE: Second suspect in vicious assault on autistic man turns himself in

A second suspect has turned himself in after police issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant.

According to police, Ronjot Singh Dhami surrendered to police on yesterday and has been charged with one count of aggravated assault. Dhami was scheduled to make an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, Ont. for a bail hearing yesterday as well.

Police have now charged two individuals after the assault of an autistic man was caught on video. The third man involved in the incident has no yet been positively identified, but may go by the first name Jason. See below for a video of the suspects.

Investigators have made an arrest after a man with autism was viciously assaulted by three men from B.C.

Parmvir Singh Chahil, age 21, has been charged with aggravated assault in Windsor, ON.

Two other individuals, 44-year-old Hardip Padda and 18-year-old Harmanvir Chahil from Windsor, have been charged with accessory after the fact.

Police are still looking to identify one of the three suspects, who they say may go by the name Jason. A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for the second identified suspect, 25-year-old Ronjot Singh Dhami.

Investigators have identified a second suspect in the assault of an autistic man.

A Canada-wide warrant has now been issued for Parmvir Singh Chahil, age 21, of no fixed address. Both Chahil and Dhami are wanted for aggravated assault.

Police say the third male involved in the incident has not yet been positively identified but may go by the first name of Jason.

Police say they have identified one of three men responsible for a vicious assault on an autistic man at a bus terminal in Mississauga.

Three men were involved in the assault, which was caught on video. Police then released the video in hopes of identifying the suspects, who they believe are all originally from B.C.

As a result of the overwhelming number of tips they have received, they have identified one of the suspects as Ronjot Singh Dhami, aged 25. His last known address is in Surrey. A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Dhami.

Police ask that Dhami and the other two suspects, who may still be in the Greater Toronto area, call a lawyer and turn themselves in.

Anyone who sees Dhami or the other suspects is asked to call police immediately, and do not approach as they are extremely dangerous.

After a what police are calling a “cowardly act” was caught on camera, the investigation has now been extended into B.C.

On March 13, three men were caught on camera assaulting a 29-year-old autistic man at a bus terminal in Mississauga. Peel Regional Police released a video of the assault in hopes of identifying the suspects.

The victim was sitting on the stairs of the lower level of the bus terminal when he was approached by the three men. They then surrounded the victim and continued to punch and kick him multiple times before fleeing the area.

The victim was taken to local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

After receiving numerous tips from the community, police say they are extending their request for assistance to British Columbians, as they now believe they are originally from the Lower Mainland area.

Suspect descriptions:

Suspect 1: South Asian Male, light complexion, 5’10”, thin build, dark short beard, and straight black hair above the ears. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a red Air Jordan logo and white Jordan lettering, with black track pants and black shoes.

Suspect 2: South Asian Male, light complexion, 5’10”, thin build, clean shaven. He is wearing a black jacket with a grey horizontal stripe across the chest and a grey vertical stripe along the hood, black track pants and black shoes.

Suspect 3: South Asian Male, medium complexion, 5’10”, medium build, unshaven. He is wearing a black hoodie with a Nike logo on the front and white Nike lettering along the sleeves, black track pants and black shoes.
