Highway 1 in both directions will be closed seven kilometres west of Revelstoke to 26 km west of Revelstoke from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Avalanche control procedures will be happening at that time.

A travel advisory is in effect for Highway 5 in both directions from Hope to Merrit.
Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Hope and Merrit, with an anticipated 30 cm of snow starting Saturday morning and curtailing sometime on Sunday. Drivers are advised to prepare for changing road conditions, watch for maintenance crews and vehicles and always have a full tank of gas.
A travel advisory remains in effect for Highway 5 from Merritt to Kamloops. The area is also expecting significant snowfall and drivers should prepare for changing conditions.
Highway 97C from Merritt to Kelowna is expecting up to 30 cm of snow over the weekend, starting Saturday morning and continuing into Sunday.
