One of the great parts of living in British Columbia the proximity to ocean and the incredible creatures that live within it.
For those lucky enough to live on the coast, there’s always a chance they’ll see whales, but that usually doesn’t happen as you get into inlets like the Burrard Inlet in Vancouver.

Today, the Vancouver Police Department’s Marine Unit experienced a rare sight because a pod of orcas did make their way into the Burrard Inlet.
Those on board the boat were lucky enough to not only witness the sight, but also capture it on camera as the killer whales breached underneath the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge.

When whales do make their way into places like Burrard Inlet, it’s usually to feed.
