Arkells drop album, announce Canadian tour that includes Kelowna show

One of Canada’s biggest bands is coming to the Okanagan for the first time in a long time.

Arkells have seemingly outgrown Kelowna over recent years, but their latest tour will be coming to Prospera Place for a can’t miss arena show on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

The announcement comes just hours after their fifth studio album, Rally Cry, was released to the public.

Arkells will be joined on tour this time around by Lord Huron, an underrated indie band based out of Los Angeles, but with roots in Michigan near the Great Lakes.

The tour will begin in Vancouver on Feb. 2 and make its way east through Canada for 11 shows before ending in Montreal on Feb. 19.

“We’ve built up real relations with all of these towns over the years,” said the band’s frontman Max Kerman.

“Each time we go back, the show means a little bit more. It’s our most ambitious tour yet, and we can’t wait to make some new memories.”

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. through Select Your Tickets online, by calling 250-762-5050 or in person at the Prospera Place box office.

They'll set you back either $36, $46 or $60.50 before taxes and fees.
