The roads up north this time of year can be a nightmare, that is, if you’re driving on them.
Between the snow and the ice, sometimes it’s better to stay inside.
But the insanely icy roads did not stop two PG boys from doing what they do best, skating.
Yesterday, Corinne Coles-Mohns, a Prince George resident, took a video of her two boys skating on the PG streets and it has since gained a lot of attention.
The video, while wholesome and full of childhood adventure, is possibly the most Canadian thing ever.
“The street is way bigger than the backyard rink,” said Coles-Mohns. “We [parents] thought the idea was amusing and had a good laugh over it.”
This is not the first time a Canadian road has been icy enough to skate on. In 2017, another Canadian shot a video of himself taking advantage of the icy roads in Kelowna.
While it is a unique idea, just be sure to take the proper safety precautions and always wear a helmet, just like these PG boys!
