The entire province of B.C. and beyond is watching on in disbelief as Grand Forks and the surrounding areas deal with devastating flooding.
More than 3,000 people have been evacuated and some had to be helped out of their homes after the water levels increased at an aggressive rate.
The region has seen the province, the Canadian Red Cross and plenty of other organizations, including firefighters from the across the Kootenays.
One of those firefighters is Jason Mile, from the Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue in Trail.
Milne has been sharing footage of the flooding and some rescue efforts that he’s been a part of through Twitter, and it really shows the magnitude of the situation.
The footage shows firefighters carrying a man out of his home to safety, rescuing a horse that was in waist high waters and also a general patrol of the flooded area.
